About Ramin Reza Rajaii

Ramin Reza Rajaii is an MD candidate at The Ohio State University College of Medicine, Class of 2030, currently on approved leave. He came to medicine after training in law, business, and health systems management, and continues to work across all four fields.

He holds a Juris Doctor with a Business Law concentration from the University of Wisconsin Law School, where he attended on a full-tuition merit scholarship, made the Dean's Honor List, and received Best Performance in International Trade Law. He holds an MBA from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, an MS in Healthcare Management and Bioinformatics from Dartmouth College, where he graduated with High Pass, and a BS in Neuroscience and Spanish from UCLA, where he graduated with College and Departmental Highest Honors with Thesis and was named to the Dean's Honors List in all eight semesters.

He scored 523 on the MCAT (99th percentile) and 179 on the LSAT (99.9th percentile), and has received more than $256,000 in competitive merit scholarships.

Current work

As founder and principal AI engineer of Rajaii Labs, Inc., he designed and operates Substrate, a long-horizon production AI agent running continuously since April 2026 with a deterministic truth layer that outranks model output. As founder of Rajaii Consulting LLC he has authored eight regulatory R&D dossiers supporting IND timelines and FDA strategy across remyelination therapeutics, oral peptide delivery, and probiotic platforms.

As a research associate in clinical outcomes and health economics at OSU Wexner Medical Center and UCSF Medical Center, he is lead investigator on an IRB-approved lymphedema cohort study and first author on the OASIS implementation framework and cost-benefit analysis for outpatient soft tissue infection services.

Earlier

He practiced as a certified student attorney in the University of Wisconsin Law and Entrepreneurship Clinic, logging more than 200 billable-equivalent hours for over ten startups, and spent a summer as a law associate at McCormick, Barstow, Sheppard, Wayte and Carruth LLP, where he received a full-time attorney offer. Before law school he founded MindFull Technologies, a mental health technology company, and consulted on healthcare intellectual property at the UCLA Business of Science Center.
